Education
Dr. Jay Chun became advanced in neurosurgery through rigorous education and training. He earned his medical degree and doctorate from Columbia University and completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of California in San Francisco. He completed his fellowship training at Emory University dedicated to complex and minimally invasive spinal neurosurgery.
His dedication to advancing the frontiers of neurosurgery extends beyond clinical practice. He has been actively involved in research endeavors throughout his career, contributing to the body of knowledge in the field. He is actively involved in clinical research to alleviate pre, peri, and post-operative pain associated with spinal surgery. His research efforts have been recognized with prestigious awards and fellowships, including Medical Research Fellowships from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He has worked in the field of neuroscience with distinguished figures including Nobel Laureates Marshall Nirenberg and Richard Axel.
